Square Enix has announced pre-orders are open for Standard, Deluxe and Collector’s editions of their upcoming PS5 exclusive, Final Fantasy XVI.

Important Note about redeeming in-game items:
- In-game items will become available for redemption in game after approximately the first two hours of gameplay, and can be claimed by selecting ‘Redeemable Items’ from the ‘System’ tab in the ‘Main Menu’.
- In-game item codes can only be redeemed up until 11:59 PM EST, December 31, 2030.
Purchasing in Australia:
- Pre-orders for the Collector’s Edition also opened today at EB Games, however orders were exclusively for Level 5 EB Games members (a tier restricted to the top 9,999 EB Games members based on points awarded through transacting with EB Games). Pre-orders sold out immediately.

About the game:
- The game takes place in an epic dark fantasy world where the fate of the land is decided by the mighty Eikons and the Dominants who wield them.
- This is the tale of Clive Rosfield, a warrior granted the title “First Shield of Rosaria” and sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua, the dominant of the Phoenix. A tragedy sees Clive swear revenge on the Dark Eikon Ifrit, a mysterious entity that brings calamity in its wake.
